This map shows the types of crops grown in South Korea. When compared to the climate map on the population and settlement page you will notice paddy crops in heavy rainfall areas, and dry crops in areas that don't get much precipitation throughout the year.

This physical map allows us to see the changes in elevation throughout South Korea as seen through a satellite. As you can there are some extreme elevation changes throuughout the country from mountains well over 1200m to areas just at sea level.

I absolutely love this picture because to me it represents South Korean people in general with the past meeting the present. The building in the center is probably historic and instead of tearing it down like here in the states, Koreans decided it was important to keep it even though they would have to build around it.

This is the Haedong Yonggunsa Temple located on the North-East shoreline of Busan. According to Visit Korea most temples are located in the mountain, so with this temple being along the shoreline, you get a religious experience along with a beautiful view.

This is a perfect example of the history of South Korea. According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism the Gyeongbokgung Palace was built in 1395, destroyed by fire some 200 years later and rebuilt some 300 years later. People can still visit to this day.

Namsam Tower at night looking over the city. Within this tower located at the highest point in the city are dining options along with a sky lounge. I would love to see the view of Seoul from the top.

Growing up, I wanted to be an architect. To this day I am fascinated by buildings with unique structures. The Twin Dragons located in Seoul, South Korea are a mixed use (residential and commercial) located in the business district of Seoul.

These are the only set of star shaped fossil footprints found in the entire world so far. It is found in Haenan on the Southwestern corner of South Korea. I find it amazing that there is proof of something that existed millions of years ago on South Korea, especially when this particular footprint is one of a kind.

The Manjang Cave located on Jeju Island. It was created with the flow of ancient lava. According to Wonder Modo, the cave is 8,928 m long, up to 30 m high and 23 m wide.

These are the Cheonjeyeon Waterfalls. The natural beauty of waterfalls has always fascinated me. Seeing as this waterfall is located in the middle of nowhere, I would thoroughly enjoy having this as one of the first places that I visit.
